About the Journal

Narra J is a multidisciplinary journal in human health, published three times a year (April, August, and December). Narra J publishes original research and reviews across all disciplines of medicine and allied sciences and publishes all original articles, short communications, case reports, and review articles. Narra J publishes Letters to the Editor only from internal sources. All articles published in Narra J are peer-reviewed and published online for immediate access and citation.

Narra J recommends researchers to submit their research papers, short communications and review articles to Narra J on topics but not limited to:

  • Public health
  • Global health
  • Infection
  • Tropical diseases
  • One Health
  • Biomedical sciences
  • Epidemiology and clinical epidemiology
  • Molecular biology
  • Environmental health
  • Microbiology
  • Pharmacological sciences
  • Diseases in tropics

Narra J also accepts unique case reports in all fields of medicine. Narra J is an online only journal and all articles do not have page numbers; instead, they are given a unique article number.

Starting from June 2024, all manuscripts submitted to Narra J should follow the templates provided in the journal website.

New Article Classifications

Starting from 2025, Narra J will apply a new classification of articles submitted . This change aims to enhance clarity and consistency in the categorization of published works. 
a). Original Articles: Articles with a final length of 15 pages or more, with consideration given to the amount and depth of data presented. 
b). Short Communications: This is a type Original Article with a total page of shorter than 15 pages, with consideration given to the amount and depth of data presented. However, editors will evaluate submissions to ensure appropriate classification based on content.
d). Review Articles: All systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and bibliometric studies will be categorized as Review Articles.
d). Case Report: All case reports will be classified Case Report
